This page sets the public expectation for submissions, sensitive reports, named individuals, private property, minors, health details, and living witnesses.
Safety First
Do not turn people into exhibits
The Compendium documents reports and traditions. It should avoid exposing private individuals, trespass locations, medical details, addresses, or identifying witness information unless that information is already responsibly public and relevant.
Avoid submitting
Do not send
- Private addresses.
- Personal medical records.
- Names of minors or private witnesses.
- Instructions for trespassing or unsafe exploration.
- Graphic images without clear public-interest reason.
- Harassment, accusations, or doxxing material.
Preferred
Send safer context
- Town/region instead of exact home address.
- Public source links.
- Book, article, or archive references.
- General witness role instead of private identity.
- Photos of public signs, maps, articles, or non-sensitive artifacts.

Submitted reports are not automatically published. Sensitive material may be summarized, anonymized, held privately for research, or declined.
